Most people will at some time in their career within hospitality have worked for a hotel in one way or another and working for a hotel can be a great experience, plus a great start on the hospitality ladder. Often long hours are required, due to demanding hotel customers who have needs 24 hours a day. In fact some hotels will use their weight to attract some of the finest chefs & personalities in the food business to open a high quality restaurant, sometimes to Michelin star standard, to improve and enforce the hotel's reputation. Competition is fierce and everyone wants a piece of this particualr cake, which is extremely healthy and keeps the quality & standards high, which after all is what everyone is looking for.

The hotel trade is generally busier than ever, which can make it a good stable job to be in. With the internet making it much easier these days to find & read reviews about the various hotels and booking online has become very easy indeed. Informative and helpful websites help to separate the good ones from the bad hotels. Also these websites can also be helpful when trying to gain information when applying for a job in a particular hotel.
